Aira Technology is an engineering company in Bicester, founded in 2018 by engineers from Formula 1 and aerospace. We design, make and test high-performance hardware, and now we build our own jet engines.

Our founders spent their careers in Formula 1, aerospace and performance cars. Aira is where we put that experience to work.
We started out designing and making lightweight composite and 3D-printed parts for clients, and developed our own methods along the way, including 3D-printed mandrels for moulding composite parts.
The same team now designs, prints and tests micro-turbine engines and combustors, starting with AIR300, alongside engineering work for clients in motorsport, aerospace, automotive and beyond.

Composites and additive manufacturing. Fifteen years across Formula 1, aerospace and performance automotive.

Vehicle and structures engineering across Formula 1 and high-performance automotive programmes.

Owns propulsion end to end, from concept to delivery. His PhD is in additively manufactured combustion chambers for micro gas turbines.

CFD, thermal and structural simulation, bridging industrial and academic research.

Recent Oxford graduate, applying Formula 1 experience to Aira's engines and client projects.
